Submarine Safety and Technical Consultant

This role is part of our maritime technical axis, based in various locations around the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing safety case documentation, providing technical oversight, and exploring options for the Royal Navy's adoption of future fuels. You will also need to have experience of working in the commercial industry, knowledge of submarine whole boat or nuclear safety cases, and expertise in risk management and reduction.
Responsibilities:
* Produce safety case documentation to underwrite the operation of the nuclear reactor plant
* Provide technical oversight to support civil nuclear power stations during planned maintenance outages
* Explore options for the Royal Navy's adoption of future fuels across the surface fleet with a focus on the achievement of Net Zero
* Work closely with colleagues to deliver consultancy services and maintain technical knowledge and skills
Requirements:
* Relevant degree-level qualification (e.g. engineering, physics)
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Salary and Benefits:
