We are looking for a highly motivated Submarine Safety Expert to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Principal Human Factors engineer, you will be part of a team working across all 3 submarine programmes, providing safety-oriented support to the day-to-day business of designing, building, and operating submarines.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing risks of human error and providing expert advice on how to mitigate them. You will also work with Process authors to develop procedures that reduce the risk of unintended outcomes and represent Human Factors at design technical reviews.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Factors/Psychology or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable Human Factors experience
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring others
  • Experience in writing assessment reports and safety cases
