Job DescriptionThis role will support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry at Raisby Quarry.
You will be responsible for supporting the management of production and extraction activities, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning of day-to-day operations in conjunction with other departments across site.
A key element of this role will involve conducting risk assessments and health and safety inspections, demonstrating leadership in safety.
An important element of this role will also involve administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the extractive industry, be familiar with the extractive process with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Problem Analysis - Ability in pro-actively identifying problems, seeking pertinent data, recognising important information, and identifying possible causes of problems
- Compliance - Adherence to company policy and/or procedures. Seeks approval from the correct authority for changes.
- Interpersonal Skills - Awareness of other people and environment and own impact on these. Actions indicate a consideration for the feelings and needs of others
- Detail Handling - Tolerance for and ability to handle the details and paperwork associated with the job.
- Planning and Organising - Ability to establish efficiently an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to achieve a goal.
