The Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Quarry Operative to support our operations. This role is crucial to our success, ensuring the efficient extraction and processing of materials. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to the production of essential construction materials that build communities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain quarry machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the quality of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Load materials, manage supplies and maintain the cleanliness of the site.
  • Act as a responsible person on site in the manager's absence, taking charge of site activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role within the construction materials industry, preferably with a background in quarry operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach to resolving issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety, health and environmental standards, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
