SEMH Support Worker

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Support Assistant to work in a school in Scarborough. This rewarding role involves working closely with students who need extra support with their emotional well-being and behaviour, helping them engage positively in education and develop their social and academic skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
* Assist in developing individual learning and behaviour plans
* Support teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional resilience in students
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each student
**Requirements:**
* Experience working with young people with SEMH or similar needs (desirable but not essential)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
