Job Title: Environmental Engineer

Framatome is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including the HPC and SZC projects, and contribute to the development of innovative products and services that ensure a safe and competitive, low-carbon source of energy.

As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on environmental technical topics, engaging with project teams and clients, and providing high-quality support to the design teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical topics related to environmental requirements for systems and buildings.
  • Support the design, construction, and commissioning phases with technical requests and design changes.
  • Contribute to or review corresponding reports in cooperation with other design entities and the Client.
  • Support the identification of environmental regulations applicable to HPC and SZC sites.
  • Be involved in assessment findings from the regulator on Edvance scope of systems and buildings.
  • Support system engineers and civil and layout sections to ensure functional operational regimes, effluent and waste characteristics, and monitoring requirements are adequately defined.
  • Oversee the chemical inventory production and COMAH justification for EPR-E scope.
Requirements
  • Experience in working in an engineering project.
  • Knowledge of environmental requirement implementation and environmental studies and assessments.
  • Knowledge of Best Available Techniques (BAT) and Nuclear Safety Assessment Principles.
  • Appropriate academic background to support working as an Environmental Engineer.
  • Experience in system design and layout engineering.
  • Knowledge of PDMS and Navisworks software.
  • Degree-qualified Engineer in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline.
