About the Role

Framatome, a leading international player in the nuclear energy market, is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join its EPR-E UK team. As a key member of the Environment Team, you will be responsible for leading on environmental technical topics and engaging with project teams and clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a prestigious project, contributing to the design and implementation of environmental requirements and standards. You will work closely with the Environmental Team Lead and wider Environment Team to ensure high-quality support and excellent levels of professionalism to the design teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical topics relating to environmental requirements for systems and buildings as part of the design.
  • Support the design, construction, and commissioning phases with technical requests and design changes.
  • Contribute to or review corresponding reports in cooperation with other design entities and the Client.
  • Support the EPR-E UK referent and other teams to identify environmental regulations applicable to HPC and SZC sites.
  • Be involved in Assessment Findings from the regulator on EPR-E scope of systems and buildings to support SZC replication strategy.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified Engineer in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Experience in working in an engineering project.
  • Knowledge of environmental requirement implementation and environmental studies and assessments.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Safety Assessment Principles and experience of their application.
  • Appropriate academic background to support working as an Environmental Engineer.
  • Experience in the area of system design and layout engineering.
  • Knowledge and ability to navigate PDMS and Navisworks software.
