Job Title: Packaging Process Engineer

Join Jaguar Land Rover's Manufacturing team as a Packaging Process Engineer and play a key role in bringing innovation to life. As a hands-on expert, you'll collaborate with a team of skilled technicians and problem-solvers to design and implement cutting-edge packaging solutions for our era-defining vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute packaging development activities to ensure seamless part packing through Imports and Exports Operations, including:
    1. Parts identification and visual aids
    2. Designing packaging locations and structures to safeguard part integrity while optimizing cost, environmental, and container density capabilities
    3. Creating and maintaining packaging specifications and instructions
    4. Cost and environmental continuous improvements
  2. Provide hands-on operation support, responding to queries and andon issues to maintain production
  3. Project manage packaging trials, ensuring effective communications, responsibility allocation, risk assessments, and feedback
  4. Liaise with designated 3rd party partners to ensure Dangerous Goods requirements are met, including arranging testing and certification as required by legislation
  5. Identify engineering changes at part number level and update current packing processes to aid component identification with the 3PL Packing Partner
  6. Develop packaging and processes for new model lines as required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in packaging development and application to manufacturing
  • Background in supply chain for packaging
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant business systems, including MS Office, SAP, and CMMS
  • Understanding of current Business Objectives/Behaviours
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
