Become a Mechatronics Engineering Apprentice - Earn While You Learn

Amazon's Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program offers a unique opportunity to start your career in advanced manufacturing and engineering. As a mechatronics engineer apprentice, you will be responsible for installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment, fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification of issues, planned and preventative maintenance activities, modifications, and upgrades to existing equipment.

You will work alongside experienced technicians to develop expertise in areas like electrical, electronic, and control systems, mechanical engineering principles, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The program includes full-time residential (classroom) training at one of our training provider facilities, followed by day or block release training at a specialist college where you will study for an HNC in Engineering/Mechatronics.

This apprenticeship program is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn and grow with Amazon. A competitive salary of £26,400 per year, above the industry standard, is offered, along with a range of benefits including pension scheme, discounted products, and free parking on site.

To succeed in this role, you should have a genuine passion for engineering and technology, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team. Comprehensive training will be provided, making previous experience unnecessary.

The ideal candidate should meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • A UK national, or a non-UK national with the right to work in the UK, or an EU national with settled status in the UK
  • Resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths, English, and a science/technology subject
