Early Years Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Early Years Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting healthy, nutritious meals for our children, ensuring their dietary needs are met and promoting a positive eating culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for children, adhering to food safety guidelines and minimizing waste
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Lead cookery club sessions, promoting healthy eating and nutrition education
  • Collaborate with the nursery team to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure dietary needs are met
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment
  • Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating habits
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent)
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing dietary requirements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
