About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Early Years Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting healthy, nutritious meals for our children, while ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for children, adhering to dietary requirements and food safety guidelines
  • Lead cookery club sessions with children, promoting healthy eating and nutrition
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and recorded
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain a positive and safe environment
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating in children
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent)
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing dietary requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
