About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health needs, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and appraise medical staff, providing professional supervision and guidance as needed.
  2. Ensure that medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are compliant with the Working Time Directive.
  3. Participate in service and business planning for the locality, contributing to the development of our mental health services.
  4. Attend and participate in the academic program of the Trust, engaging in Continuing Professional Development to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research.
  5. Participate in annual appraisal, reviewing your performance and setting goals for the upcoming year.
  6. Work collaboratively with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services.
  7. Comply with the Trust's policies, procedures, and standing orders, taking an active role in the financial management of the service.

Requirements
  • Holds and will use a valid UK driving license or provides evidence of proposed alternative.
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
