Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Wellness Team in South, based at Mellmead House in Wanstead, Redbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychiatric services to adults with mental health conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, community nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of patients, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of mental health services and policies, ensuring that they are responsive to the needs of the community and aligned with national guidelines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the decision-making process, ensuring that patient care is prioritized and that services are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent.
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
