**About the Role**

Boston Rose is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Trainer/Lecturer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role would involve delivering workshop-based training on milling and turning, as well as basic Mechanical Engineering theory and health & safety delivery in the classroom.

The position consists of 37 hours of work per week, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver training on the City & Guilds Engineering Technician qualification at level 2/3.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Delivering high-quality training sessions to students
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

**Requirements**

  1. A Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification is essential for this role
  2. Good hands-on machining knowledge and experience are necessary
  3. A passion for passing on knowledge and expertise to others is required

**What We Offer**

The salary for this position is up to £39,477 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, you would receive a teacher's pension with employer contributions of 28.68%, as well as a generous holiday allocation of 55 days (including 8 days for Bank Holidays).

We are open to considering relocators and offer a discretionary relocation package of up to £2,500 to cover property deposit, moving costs, etc.

While a teaching qualification is desirable, Boston Rose is happy to fund the right candidate through a teaching qualification on the job if they don't already have one.

This role involves working with under 18's or vulnerable adults, and any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks, including a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
