About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Complaint Handler to join our Financial Advice Complaints Team at Skipton Building Society. As a Complaint Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive a fair and timely resolution to their complaints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate customer complaints and queries, identifying the root cause of the issue and ensuring a fair outcome.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates and resolutions, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review the suitability of advice provided and implement changes to prevent future issues.
  • Provide feedback to the Financial Advice team to help minimize re-occurrences of customer dissatisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and teams across the business to stay informed about emerging concerns.
Requirements
  • Financial Services knowledge and experience within a regulated environment.
  • Experience handling complaints and dealing with vulnerable customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a caseload, making evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
