About the Role

This apprenticeship follows the Embedded Electronic Systems Design and Development Engineer (Degree) Standard, leading to roles including designing and developing electronic circuits, devices, and systems.

As an Electronic Design Apprentice, you'll spend your initial training at the Skills Academy producing several electronic projects to develop your skills and knowledge in basic electronic theory, components, circuit design, circuit construction, and reporting.

You'll then complete a variety of 6-month placements with us. During this time, you'll also attend college part-time to complete your HND.

On successful completion of your HND, you'll spend your final 2 years on further placements around the business, where you'll also work towards your Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (Degree phase).

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll attend several lectures designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of electronic theory, including:

  • Component recognition
  • Component characteristics
  • Circuit calculations
  • Semi-conductor theory
  • Fault-finding techniques
  • Testing and measuring

If you have an interest in Arduino or Raspberry PI, Analogue and Digital electronics, as well as designing, building, testing, and repairing electronic circuits, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

· HNC (level 4) in Electronics

· 5 GCSE's at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English

· Applicants must be aged 18 or over, due to security clearance requirements

· You must be a British National to apply for a role with us
