We're seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an Electronic Design Apprentice, working on high-priority projects that contribute to the UK's nuclear deterrent.

The apprenticeship follows the Embedded Electronic Systems Design and Development Engineer (Degree) Standard, providing a comprehensive learning experience that includes both theoretical and practical aspects of electronic system design.

During the initial training period, you'll work on various electronic projects, developing your skills and knowledge in basic electronic theory, components, circuit design, and circuit construction.

After completing the initial training, you'll progress to a series of 6-month placements within the company, where you'll apply your skills and knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Upon successful completion of the HND, you'll embark on further placements, working towards your Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (Degree phase) and gaining valuable experience in electronic system design.

To excel in this role, you'll require a strong foundation in electronics, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to new situations quickly.

Key Requirements

  • HNC (level 4) in Electronics
  • 5 GCSE's at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English
  • Aged 18 or over (due to security clearance requirements)
  • British National status required

Salary: £22,250/year, increasing annually throughout your apprenticeship
