Job Title: Clinical Administrator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Administrator to provide administrative support to our clinical coding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the clinical coding function, including the location, collection, and provision of casenotes and clinical information.
  • Assist in the resolution of data quality recording errors on the Patient Administration System (PAS).
  • Interrogate the Lost Income Report on Qlikview System to identify outstanding uncoded spells.
  • Support the Clinical Coding Department by ensuring a constant flow of discharged patient casenotes are located and collected on a daily basis.
  • Retrieve casenotes/clinical information relating to outstanding uncoded activity in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the clinical coding team, acting as the central point for all casenote queries and requests.
  • Liaise with ward-based clerks, secretarial, and other administration staff to aid the timely retrieval of casenotes.
  • Assist the Clinical Coding Management Team with ad-hoc requests for casenotes, including pulling casenotes from the Health Records Library.

Requirements:

  • Good typing skills.
  • Vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
