Behaviour Support Mentor Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Northampton. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will work closely with Secondary-aged pupils, providing a holistic approach to behaviour management and encouraging engagement and progress.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing minor disruptions in line with the unit's behaviour policies and providing detailed feedback on specific pupils to support their re-integration into mainstream school. This role involves working closely with pupils with SEMH needs, and candidates with experience in SEMH and SEN are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behaviour support to Secondary-aged pupils
  • Work closely with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Manage minor disruptions in line with behaviour policies
  • Provide detailed feedback on specific pupils
  • Support pupils' re-integration into mainstream school

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and training in behaviour support or a related field
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Ability to work closely with pupils and staff
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
