Behaviour Support Mentor Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Northampton. The successful candidate will work closely with Secondary-aged pupils, providing individual and group support to promote engagement and progress.

The Behaviour Support Mentor will be responsible for managing minor disruptions and providing detailed feedback on pupil behaviour. This role requires a holistic approach to pupil support, with a focus on re-integration into mainstream school.

Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to Secondary-aged pupils
  • Manage minor disruptions and provide detailed feedback on pupil behaviour
  • Work closely with pupils with SEMH needs to promote re-integration into mainstream school
  • Collaborate with our team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and training in behaviour support or a related field
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Ability to work closely with pupils and staff to promote a supportive and inclusive environment
