Behaviour Support Mentor Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Mentor to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Northampton. As a Behavioural Support Mentor, you will work closely with Secondary-aged pupils, providing a holistic approach to behaviour management and encouraging engagement and progress.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing minor disruptions in line with the unit's behaviour policies and providing detailed feedback on specific pupils to support their re-integration into mainstream school.

This role involves working with pupils who have SEMH needs, and we encourage candidates with experience in SEMH and SEN to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behaviour support to Secondary-aged pupils
  • Work closely with pupils to develop behaviour management strategies
  • Manage minor disruptions in line with unit policies
  • Provide detailed feedback on pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to work closely with pupils and staff
