About the Role

This permanent position is based onsite at one of our client's offices, where you will provide desktop installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services in the Wintel environment.

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing basic to intermediate level desktop installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services in the Wintel environment. You will also provide effective and efficient customer service to the customer, communicate with the customer keeping them informed of progress to avoid escalations, and become hardware and software skilled and accredited through the appropriate vendor training programmes.

Requirements

An understanding of desktop/laptop technologies and Windows operating systems is essential for this role. You should also have a desire to further your career in desktop support in a corporate setting and be eligible for SC clearance.

You will need to be customer-focused, happy to provide great service to users in a professional environment, adaptable, and welcoming of change and communicating change to customers. Great customer-facing skills with the ability to build rapport with customers at all levels are also required.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including 37.5 hours of work per week, 24x7 shift rotations/on call, and opportunities for career advancement.
