Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Commissioning and Projects Manager to lead the effective delivery of our Flying Start program. This includes childcare, health visiting, parenting support, and early language development.

About You:

  • Strategic Thinking: Develop long-term plans and strategies to improve early help services.
  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams, with effective management of resources and staff.
  • Collaboration and Partnership Building: Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, including local authorities, health services, and community organisations.
  • Analytical Skills: Analyse data and evaluate the effectiveness of services to ensure they meet desired outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Legislation and Policies: In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's services, Flying Start, and early help.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the effective delivery of the Flying Start program.
  2. Ensure quality and sufficiency of services provided, including training and qualifications for staff.
  3. Work with various stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery.
  4. Monitor and evaluate performance through performance monitoring and reporting.
  5. Maintain governance and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  6. Engage with the community to understand their needs and ensure support and services are accessible.
