About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef Manager to join our Caterplus team at Deansfield Court. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, leading a team of 6 colleagues, and delivering high-quality food services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Motivate and lead a team of 6 colleagues, including 5 General Assistants and 1 2nd Chef, to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook lunchtime services for our residents, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Financial Management: Control and manage a budget to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Communication and Liaison: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including management, clients, and colleagues, to ensure effective communication and operational excellence.
  • Stock Management: Conduct weekly stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory management and minimize waste.
  • Ordering and Procurement: Responsible for placing weekly orders to maintain a well-stocked kitchen and ensure timely delivery of ingredients.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Culinary Expertise: Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food safety, and hygiene.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, management, and clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
