We are a reputable and independent all-day café/restaurant, operating on a daytime-only schedule. Our business model is centered around serving high-quality, fresh, and seasonal produce, made in-house, along with good coffee, tray bakes, and pastries.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong café/brunch experience, including plant-based dishes, and be able to work effectively in a small kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and safe food production
  • Manage inventory and supplies, maintaining high standards of quality and freshness
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, in line with our brand's culinary vision
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety and hygiene
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
