Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

New Directions Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in primary schools in the Carmarthenshire area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across Key Stages, working closely with class teachers to ensure the educational and social development of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
Requirements:
  • Relevant child-related qualification or relevant experience
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Current DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for a new certificate
