We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist facility for children with autism and profound learning difficulties.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils, many of whom have complex needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of pupils.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with autism and/or severe or profound learning disabilities.
  • A confident and friendly personality.
  • Resilience to overcome challenges.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Demonstration of empathy and care for the children and young people they work with.
