Job Summary

Aston Martin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing products for our next generation projects at the best cost while maintaining quality and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain commodity strategies for a specific range of commodities.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and supplier risk management.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities through cost data analysis and quotation analysis.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, and other Aston Martin support functions to maintain vehicle production on time, at the right quality, technical specifications, and forecasted cost.
  • Manage a team of buyers, leading and mentoring them.

Requirements

  • Relevant purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A degree education is ideal, but experience and a proactive approach are more important.
