  • Work closely with schools, other external partners, and the wider network around the child to increase mental health awareness and provide targeted interventions.
  • Conduct mental health assessments and screenings of children and young people, and make assessments of risk to record and communicate appropriately.
  • Deliver specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families, such as Guided Self-Help, CBT, and parent work.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1-year 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' or IAPT 'Child Wellbeing Practitioner' postgraduate diploma.
  • Post-qualification experience as an EMHP and experience of working in schools.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, their families, and others in educational and health settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.
  • Ability to carry out 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions with children and families, and conduct group parenting and group young person programmes.
What We Offer

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a comprehensive and dynamic CAMHS service, delivering a substantial stepped model of care following the needs-led Thrive framework. You will be part of a thriving and substantive specialist multi-disciplinary service offer, working closely with schools and other external partners to make a positive difference to people's lives.
