About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a School Mental Health Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical team to provide support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

The ideal candidate will have an Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, with a keen interest in mental health and Autism. They will also have knowledge of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their understanding and knowledge of mental health and wellbeing through education and training.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Work closely with the Clinical team to develop and implement individualised support plans
  • Assist with the delivery of educational and therapeutic programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families and staff
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive school environment
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience
  • Keen interest in mental health and Autism
  • Knowledge of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
  • Local commute to Luton
