Job Title: Telephone Helpline Volunteer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Telephone Helpline Volunteer to join our team at Farleigh Hospice. As a volunteer, you will work from home, using your computer and telephone to connect with our clients and provide support and guidance. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others, and we are looking for someone who is compassionate, caring, and able to work independently.

About the Role:
As a Telephone Helpline Volunteer, you will be responsible for providing telephone support to patients, families, and carers. You will use your computer and telephone to connect with our clients, and provide a listening ear, basic guidance, and signposting. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues that arise.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have good IT skills, a patient and understanding approach, and the ability to work accurately and with attention to detail. You must also be willing to commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months and be available to attend volunteer meetings and support sessions when possible. Estimated salary: £8.00 - £10.00 per hour.
