We are seeking a skilled SEN Teacher to join our team at Brick Lane School in East London, providing specialist individual support to students with Autism.

About the Role

This permanent position involves working 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as part of a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality education and care to neurodivergent young people.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of primary and secondary ages, employing a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning. They should be educated to Qualified Teacher Status, demonstrating calmness, engagement, resilience, and an innovative style of teaching.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with SLT to secure high standards of teaching and learning, contribute to curriculum development, and lead on specific areas when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive and safe learning environment for students, promoting positive relationships between peers.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning activities, differentiating to meet individual needs and levels of achievement.
  • Organize and deliver effective lessons, utilizing resources and planning to secure high-quality teaching.
  • Track, evaluate, assess, and report student progress, updating Individual Outcomes as necessary.
  • SUPervise, develop, and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities.
