Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Education Specialist to join our team of professionals working with students who thrive in small, therapeutic environments. As an Education Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and emotional well-being.

Your primary objective will be to provide high-quality education to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), focusing on those with SEMH and neurodiverse conditions. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop personalized learning plans and ensure the students' progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere, promoting social skills, empathy, and self-awareness
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and addressing concerns
  • Collaborate with the school's SEN team to develop and implement strategies for supporting students with SEMH and neurodiverse conditions
  • Contribute to oral and written assessments, reports, and references related to individual students and groups

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, or a related subject)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
