We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Chief Heritage Engineering Manager. This role will involve collaborating with top minds in the industry, gaining hands-on experience, and contributing to various projects.
This position reports to the Head of Performance Engineering and is based in Banbury, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing historic car programs, including testing and event support.
The key responsibilities include ensuring safe operation of historic cars, working closely with the Head of Performance Engineering to define testing plans, and maintaining written procedures for historic car operation.
In addition to these duties, the Chief Heritage Engineering Manager will provide coaching and guidance to junior engineers, ensure compliance with FIA regulations, and support the current car Race Team when required.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, a minimum of 2:1 degree, and at least 3 years of experience in Formula 1 trackside as a Race Engineer. A can-do approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a robust technical background in racing car performance/vehicle dynamics are essential.
The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
