About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team at Ocado Retail Ltd. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, investigating and resolving pricing and quantity discrepancies, and assisting in the preparation of BACs and CHAPs payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely processing of invoices
  • Investigate and resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies on invoices
  • Assist in preparation of BACs and CHAPs payments
  • Work towards individual and team targets for invoice processing
  • Assist in filing and maintaining accuracy of filing systems
  • Manage queries from internal and external parties to facilitate the accuracy of Accounts Payable
  • Communicate with departments across the business
  • Identify and escalate any known issues and conflicts to the Team Leader
  • Adhere to contractual obligations, in particular legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a customer-focused environment
  • Evidence of strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of working Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of basic accounting techniques and principles
  • Proven experience in resolving discrepancies on invoices
  • Knowledge of ORACLE accounting package
  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent (to include English and Maths grade C)
  • Experience working in a commercial high-volume department
