About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Maritime Sales Specialist to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our sea logistics business, focusing on new business opportunities within the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) segment.

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record as a sales representative in the freight forwarding industry, with strong communication skills and the ability to build customer 'value propositions'. A dynamic, proactive approach and willingness to meet people are essential.

In this role, you will generate new business opportunities, inform pricing decisions, prepare and submit quotations to customers, demonstrate Sea Logistics products and trade knowledge, deliver presentations, monitor competition, and report customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME
  • To inform pricing decisions in alignment with relevant stakeholders
  • To prepare and submit quotations to customers
  • To demonstrate Sea Logistics products and trade knowledge
  • To deliver presentations about main Sea Logistics products
  • To monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing & products
  • To report customer complaints to the Customer Care team
