Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dietitian to join our innovative dietetic team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This role will be based in the Head and Neck Oncology team, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive dietetic service to patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a clinical dietetic service at Band 6 level to patients at St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital, including those undergoing surgery and oncological treatment.
  • Work alongside the Senior Specialist Dietitian for Oncology to develop and implement effective nutritional support plans.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and innovative learning and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practice.
  • Undertake regular audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement projects to contribute to the development of the head and neck oncology dietetic service.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BSc Nutrition & Dietetics or relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Qualification in area of specialisation or evidence of experience in speciality area.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Experience in complex nutrition support, including experience in nutrition support in oncology.
  • Understanding of team dynamics and experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Documented evidence of commitment to CPD.
  • Demonstrable understanding of clinical governance and its relevance to everyday practice.
