About This Role

North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Dietitian to join our dedicated oncology department. This position focuses on providing specialized nutritional care to patients with head and neck cancers, working closely within a multidisciplinary team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of comprehensive dietetic services for head and neck oncology patients, encompassing both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Collaborate with the lead oncology dietitian to evaluate and enhance existing services, ensuring policies and procedures remain current and effective.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to patients, families, and the wider healthcare team regarding nutritional management for head and neck cancers.
  • Develop and deliver engaging education programs for patients, staff, and other stakeholders on relevant nutrition topics within oncology.
  • Actively participate in research initiatives and audits related to oncology dietetics, contributing to advancements in patient care and evidence-based practice.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated dietitian with a strong clinical background in oncology. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Essential Requirements

  • BSc in Dietetics (4-year degree course) or equivalent qualification
  • State Registered Dietitian with HCPC registration
  • Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), including membership of the BDA Oncology Specialist Group
