Job Summary:

Cygnet is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our team at Cygnet Brunel, a 32-bed male Neuropsychiatric service. As a Specialist or Highly Specialist Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dietetic assessment and intervention to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the best approach to deliver dietetic input to meet the needs of individuals and the service.
  • Provide direct 1:1 input, advice, and guidance to staff supporting individuals, unit-based clinics, and group work to manage complex presentations.
  • Conduct comprehensive dietetic assessments and develop individualized dietetic plans for individuals.
  • Collaborate with the catering team, Speech and Language Team, and wider multidisciplinary team to provide specialist advice on feeding regimes.

Requirements:

  • Registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) and membership of the BDA (British Dietetic Association).
  • Experience of working in an in-patient setting and/or in the field of neurorehabilitation or neurodegenerative conditions is strongly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for working in a neuropsychiatric inpatient setting.
