Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6/Band 7 Dietitian to join our dynamic team at the North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH). The Dietetic Department is part of the Therapies group, working closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech & Language Therapists.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical services to the critical care unit and the Nutrition Team.
  • Lead the dietetic surgical team, working closely with the current Band 7 dietitian for critical care.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures for critical care services.
  • Participate in research and audit initiatives within critical care and the wider Dietetic Service.
  • Lead on education programs for patients and staff, developing critical care education resources.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide an excellent service.

Person Specification
  • Essential criteria:
    • BSc in Dietetics or equivalent.
    • State Registered Dietitian with HPC.
    • BDA member.
    • BDA member of the specialist group, critical care group network.
  • Desirable criteria:
    • Non-medical prescribing qualification registered with HCPC BDA.
    • Postgraduate diploma in advanced dietetic practice or equivalent in BDA postgraduate courses equivalent to Master's degree.
