Highly Specialist Dietitian for Critical Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6/Band 7 dietitian to join our dynamic team at North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH). The Dietetic Department is part of the Therapies group, working closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech & Language Therapists. We are the first Nutrition & Dietetic Department in London to commence seven-day services.
Main DutiesAs a Highly Specialist Dietitian for Critical Care, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition services to the critical care unit and the Trust Nutrition team. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide an excellent service, including developing and updating policies and procedures. You will also participate in research and audit within critical care and the wider Dietetic Service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nutrition services to the critical care unit and the Trust Nutrition team.
- Develop and update policies and procedures.
- Participate in research and audit within critical care and the wider Dietetic Service.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide an excellent service.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BSc in Dietetics or equivalent, be a State Registered Dietitian with HPC, and a member of the BDA. You will also need to have experience of audit, training student dietitians, and working as a team. You will need to be able to communicate complex information effectively and have excellent teaching and presentation skills.
