Role Overview

The NHS Hywel Dda University Health Board seeks a highly skilled dietitian to join the Health Improvement Nutrition & Dietetic team in Pembrokeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver health improvement nutrition interventions and contribute to improving population health.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based nutrition guidance and support to communities across the region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate accredited nutrition education programs for community assets, ensuring quality assurance.
  • Serve as an expert nutrition resource for the health board, partners, and communities, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain high-quality nutrition interventions through quality assurance processes.
  • Work independently to identify, develop, deliver, and evaluate projects locally and nationally, utilizing recognized service improvement methodologies.
  • Lead project delivery efforts.
  • Drive service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide cover and support to the Health Improvement Nutrition & Dietetic team as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor staff and dietetic students.
About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in dietetics, registration with the relevant authority, and experience in clinical dietetics, teaching, and project work.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of current evidence base, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders. A Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene and Agored Cymru Assessor training are desirable.
