Nutrition Lead for Older Adults Job Opportunity

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled dietitian to lead our team in caring for patients within our 6 community hospitals and care home settings.

The successful candidate will take the lead in developing, delivering, and evaluating nutritional care provided to older adults. This will include patients requiring a wide range of conditions affecting their nutritional needs, with nutrition support and care of patients with diabetes forming a significant part of the case load.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with public health and primary care team leads, ensuring ongoing cost-effective and appropriate prescribing of oral nutritional supplements within the community.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the development and implementation of nutritional care plans.
  • Work closely with public health and primary care team leads to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Incorporate knowledge of patient management in this specialist area.

The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, enhanced communication skills, and remarkable organisational and data analysis skills.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,500 per annum.
