Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Public Health Specialist to join our team at the NHS in Wales. As a key member of our Public Health Division, you will play a crucial role in protecting people in Wales from communicable diseases and environmental hazards.

Your primary responsibility will be to use advanced epidemiological and statistical methods to analyze data, identify trends, and inform public health policy and practice. This will involve working with large and complex databases, ensuring timely delivery of project outputs, and reporting findings to stakeholders, including the public, healthcare professionals, and government officials.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a scientific, computing, or health-related subject and a postgraduate qualification in public health, epidemiology, or a related field. Substantial experience in relevant scientific work, working with large databases, and understanding current scientific and epidemiological advances is essential.
