About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Specialist to join our team at the Energy Institute. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting our reputation as a source of knowledge and expertise among our members, customers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communications Planning - Develop and maintain our communications planning grid, ensuring that plans are in place to disseminate stories across relevant Energy Institute communication channels in a timely manner.
  • Written Communications - Responsible for drafting and producing a monthly e-newsletter and two news pages in our monthly member magazine, capitalizing on the best current stories from across the Energy Institute.
  • Branch Support - Provide support for the promotion of events being held by our branches in the UK and internationally, requiring daily use of our member database and email marketing platform.
  • Digital Communications - Play a key role in maintaining a dynamic social media presence that places the Energy Institute in conversations and drives traffic to our website.
  • Marketing and Events - Support the promotion of our products and services, capitalizing on and fulfilling involvement in industry initiatives, with other professional bodies and partners.
Requirements
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Disciplined project management and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of communication channels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other communicators and stakeholders.
