We are seeking a highly skilled Crime Support Specialist to join our National Contact Centre team in Cardiff. As a Crime Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support, information, and referrals to victims of crime and those affected by it.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for responding to victims of crime by providing immediate support, advice, and trauma first aid referrals.
  • Seamlessly work across multiple services with different processes, procedures, and recording mechanisms.
  • Manage and respond appropriately to competing priorities, services, and needs.
  • Take disclosures and respond immediately to life-threatening situations.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in challenging environments with an emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy, and control own emotions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including telephone skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant agencies and resources, confidentiality, and safe working practices.

  • A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
