Job Title: Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning Ltd. As a Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with Anxiety, Depression, and high-functioning Autism.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, including Anxiety, Depression, and high-functioning Autism
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, promoting their emotional regulation and well-being
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with pupils, understanding their therapy goals and aims
  • Support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities, maximizing their achievement

Requirements:
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks
