About the Role:

A SEN Teaching Assistant will work with individual students or small groups to provide tailored support and assistance with academic and social development.

Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans.

Create and maintain a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of students with SEN.

Foster positive relationships with students, offering patience, empathy, and understanding in all interactions.

Utilise a range of strategies to facilitate learning and engage students with different learning styles and abilities.

Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and participating in review meetings.

About You:

Prior experience in a SEN support role or a strong interest in working with students with diverse learning needs would be beneficial.

A First Class degree from a reputable university is mandatory.

A strong academic background is essential for this role, as you will be supporting top-performing students in various subjects up to GCSE level.

A degree in Psychology or a related field is desirable.

Knowledge of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting students with additional needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, staff, and parents.

A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN.
