We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at Northwood Hygiene products, a leading manufacturer of away-from-home paper hygiene products.

As Quality Manager, you will play a key role in helping us to be the market-leading partner of choice in the away-from-home tissue industry, delivering high quality products to our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the site meets its quality objectives in line with the wider group, and will ensure that the Oldham site is compliant with group policies and meets the requirements of ISO9001, BRCGS Consumer Products, FSC, and individual customer requirements/standards.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing quality leadership for the site
  • Ensuring that products meet required technical specifications
  • Delivery of the Quality Policy, ensuring that procedures and systems are maintained
  • Employing a continuous improvement methodology, demonstrating improvements with key KPI's
  • Enforcing adherence to quality standards, leading by example
  • Investigating suspected breaches of the quality management system, including customer complaints
  • Conducting, defining and monitoring training of the QMS
  • Actively supporting during external audits of the QMS, including ISO9001, BRCGS, CHSA, FSC and Customer audits
  • Completing external audit corrective action plans in a timely manner
  • Defining, conducting and monitoring required testing and inspections of incoming materials
  • Auditing external suppliers where needed
  • Producing reports for Management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, supporting Town Hall by presenting quality KPI's and initiatives

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, leadership and influencing skills, strong organisational skills, experience in conflict management, innovation propensity, exposure to BRCGS standards and audits, and proven ability in supporting external certification body audits.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have strong IT skills, experience in working with SharePoint, and a proven track record of delivering quality results in a fast-paced environment.
