Job Overview

We are seeking an inspirational leader to join our leadership team in West Kent as one of three General Managers in the West Kent Directorate. This role is fundamental in achieving success through our improvement journey and requires someone skilled at building and sustaining internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with professional heads and the Deputy Service Director and Service Managers to provide demonstrable assurance that the quality of clinical services, including patient safety, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes, meet the required high standards.

General Managers will have a portfolio of services that they are responsible for, so they will need to understand the ongoing transformation work that is currently being implemented, along with a genuine interest in performance, to support the teams in working towards the agreed Key Performance Indicators.

Main Duties of the Job

General Managers are responsible for the overall management of a range of nominated services within the Directorate. Working closely with colleagues in all other relevant teams will ensure excellent clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.

The post-holder will be expected to work as part of the Senior Leadership Team with other General Managers, the Deputy Director, the Head of Nursing & Quality, the Allied Health Professional Lead, the Lead Psychologist, and Clinical and Service Directors.
